Workshops & Portfolio Review

In partnership with Mirzoyan Library Foundation
♦ Portfolio Review

The EVN Media Festival, in collaboration with Mirzoyan Library Foundation, will be bringing together photographers, editors, gallerists and different media organizations as part of the 2024 Media Festival Portfolio Review program. One-on-one sessions will help photographers articulate their voice and curate their visual language.

The work presented for review will also be available for public viewing as part of an ad hoc exhibition for the duration of the day. Since this year’s portfolio review aims to link talent to opportunity, representatives for media organizations and several NGOs will be invited for the viewing.

All works presented to the Portfolio Review are welcome to be displayed as part of the post-review exhibition.
We ask that you bring prints of your selected work. There are no print size, quantity and quality specifications.
Three of the portfolios selected by the reviewers will be published on EVN Report.

Date: Saturday, June 1
Time: 12 noon
Address: Henrik Igityan National Centre for Aesthetics (NCA), Abovyan 13

Registration is open until May 22

♦ Media Literacy Workshop

The Persuasive Power of the Media

The Media Literacy Workshop is based on interactive discussions and games designed by MIC to teach 12-16 year olds about the importance of media literacy. It explains how news is created, who journalists are, the types of media, how media works and the scope of its influence.

The experience in front of a green screen with pre-set scenarios, will give children the opportunity to play the role of a journalist and test out the media handbook to understand how the media can either persuade, influence and manipulate or  inform and educate.
