Angela Frangyan

Angela Frangyan

Anzhela Frangyan is a filmmaker based in Armenia. With a degree in Arts & Culture, she has worked as a producer and director on commercials, and documentary features at Bars Media. In 2019, Anzhela founded the DoKino production company. She has participated in the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (CPH:DOX), DOK Leipzig and co-produced “Luka” which competed in the Big Screen Competition at the 2023 Rotterdam International Film Festival.

“Homemade Mulberry Vodka” is her debut feature as a director. Most of the filming took place when Anzhela was trapped in the Azerbaijani blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
