Media Initiatives Center (MIC)
Media Initiatives Center (MIC) has been working in the media sector of Armenia for more than 25 years, supporting freedom of expression, development of independent media, improvement of media legislation and the protection of journalists’ rights. The non-profit has extensive experience in media training, media literacy and media content production. MIC is an integral part of the media landscape.
Cultural and Social Narratives Laboratory (CSN Lab)
The Cultural and Social Narratives Laboratory (CSN Lab) is a diverse platform established by independent researchers, scientists, cultural workers, and artists with the goal of exploring contemporary social and cultural issues in Armenia and the South Caucasus. They emphasize accessible language and engaging presentations to make humanitarian research more impactful and appealing to the public. The lab covers a wide range of topics including memory studies, cultural rights, conflict transformation, and urban spaces. They aim to expand the scope of memory studies beyond academia, promote discourse on cultural rights, and foster peaceful coexistence in the region through dialogue. Additionally, they focus on deconstructing the colonial past, studying public space transformations, and facilitating international cooperation.
Mirzoyan Library Foundation
Mirzoyan Library, founded in 2013, is a photobook library and gallery founded by documentary photographer Karen Mirzoyan. Mirzoyan Library holds a large collection of rare photo books and serves as an educational platform for connecting, displaying, encouraging, and educating photographers and all those interested in photography. It also organizes cultural events, including photo exhibitions, open lectures, artist talks, movie screenings and more.
